I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a husband to a magnificent wife, father to two boys and one mystery (due June 5) and english pastor at the Church of Philippi. My goal is to meditate on God’s wonders and share what He shows me with others. If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask.
Dear Sir,
I am a follower of Jesus Christ and have been for many years. I have often wondered about this question.
In 1st John it is clear that we are to confess our sins and that God is faithful to forgive us of those. But what of those who miss confessing one or dont know of a sin in there life that is sin and needs to be confessed.
Christ died once for all, so I know that all the sins that I have or ever will commit are already paid for. So shouldnt I be thanking Christ for the forgiveness of my sins already and confessing them just to show obiedience to him and that I realize that I’ve done these things. Or am I not forgiven for the sins that I dont confess or dont know to confess?
I hope my question is clear. Can you help me think properly about this.
Thanks for your help,
Tim
